My daughter just questioned my use of the word "delicious" in describing the book I just started. But isn't that the right word to use when you have had a very long dry spell of reading books that were "okay" and then you sit down with a new book, and within two pages you want to call in sick to work, make some tea and read until your legs go to sleep? I think it is.
The book is "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peeling Pie Society" by Mary Ann Shaffer, and it is delicious.
